Video From the 2010 MIMA Summit
For the third year in a row, StoryTeller has had the pleasure of partnering with the Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association to provide video services for its annual summit. For those readers who don’t know what MIMA is, it’s an organization made up of members who work in web-based marketing, design, publishing, development and promotion.
The 2010 summit was held on September 27 and 28 at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. More than 1000 people attended the event, where more than 60 speakers presented.
We put together a 2-minute highlight video showcasing the summit. Check it out. It might just entice you to get on board for next year’s summit.
Live From the MIMA Summit 2009!
Monday, October 5th we had the pleasure of helping the Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association (MIMA) bring the 2009 MIMA Summit to the desktops and laptops of interactive marketers around the country. With a crew of 6 and multiple camera locations placed in breakout rooms around the Minneapolis Hilton we were able to capture a majority of the events of the day.
We are proud to be associated with MIMA and thrilled to have provided the cameras and personnel to help stream this important content to the web. Hopefully, you all got a chance to see the event live, but for those of you who did not, we trust you were able to still enjoy the power of the day through the lens of our cameras.

What is Your Personal Brand?
During a recent meeting with a client the discussion of branding came up and whether individuals have a brand. Not celebrities, but every day folk like you and me. There was a spirited discussion about this, with some stating that we do not have a personal brand while others proclaimed we most certainly do. I fell on the side of the latter.
Social Media Listening is Good for Your Business
About a year ago, I was interested in measuring satisfaction levels of a customer group. My hunch was that our client was underperforming in meeting the expectations of their customers. In an effort to create a baseline by which we could measure future progress I suggested we conduct a survey to see what their customers thought about their return on investment. My client was opposed to the idea of the survey and stunned me when he said, “I always say, never do a survey unless you really want to know what people think.” Let me reiterate, “never do a survey unless you really want to know what people think.” Can you stand it?
