Currently, we are hiring for an Account Director and a Video Production Intern.

Account Director

StoryTeller seeks to fill an Account Director position to work in a collaborative environment to lead day-to-day management and optimization of client public relations and inbound marketing campaigns while providing strategic analysis, advice and direction. The Account Director will complete client projects by implementing direct communications tactics, inbound marketing strategy, pitching stories, writing communications documents, coordinating news conferences and media events and using multiple online marketing tools. This candidate will also develop and maintain long-term relationships with members of the media.

The Account Director will manage, train and advise StoryTeller public relations team in public relations techniques and skills.

The Account Director will proactively learn and understand the clients industry and business, as well as find new ways to build the client’s business and grow existing StoryTeller accounts by communicating and promoting new services and capabilities.

The Account Director must have at least 7-years experience of public relations and marketing experience and be able to pay attention to detail and perform mistake free work. The candidate must also be able to work in a fast-paced and energetic environment. As a client-facing representative of StoryTeller, the Account Director must have extraordinary client relations and client service.

INTERNSHIPS

We accept intern applications throughout the year. Interns are immersed into our fast-paced office environment and work on a variety of projects. Opportunities include writing press releases, pitching stories, assembling briefing books, researching issues, social media listening and logging videotape. Responsibilities will grow with your abilities.

Candidate must be able to work at least 24 hours per week between the hours of 9:00 - 5:00 M-F (plus additional hours when necessary). The internship will have an initial duration of 3 months, with the possibility for an extension or a permanent position with the firm.  Intern salary begins at $8 per hour.

Qualifications:

* A major in public relations, journalism, communications, English, or marketing

* An interest in the public relations, mass communications and video services field

* Proven writing skills

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Expertise in computer applications - Microsoft Word, Microsoft  Access, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, etc.

* Experience with social media platforms - ideally blogs, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube

Preferred:

* Experience with news media

* Bilingual or significant experience with diverse communities

* Experience in public relations-such as pitching stories to reporters, planning events and writing press releases-is preferred and may merit higher compensation.
