Airplanes Taking Off and Landing in Time Lapse
Lately I’ve been trying to use time lapse footage in some of the videos I’ve edited, to add energy to the piece, and to present the images in a little different way than we’re used to seeing them. Plus, it looks really cool! For this weeks’ video of the week, I found a great use of time lapse, and it also involves travel. And since we all know that like 99% of the country will be traveling this Memorial Day Weekend (some to the cabin, others to less exciting locales, like Target…..not that I would know anything about that), it only seemed appropriate. This video was shot over a 70-minute time period, and then condensed down to just over two and a half minutes. While planes taking off an landing can be kind of cool, it might get a little boring after 2 minutes in real time. When it is sped up like this, it’s really neat to watch, and provides a whole new way of seeing it. A great use of time lapse to spice up the ordinary.
