Urban Ventures hosts U of M Basketball Camp
Urban Ventures Leadership Foundation vice president of development, Kerry! Givens recently visited with Lee Valsvik of Cities 97 Insight to talk about the recent Gopher Basketball clinic at the Colin Powell Youth Leadership Foundation. During the clinic in October, players from the mens and womens Gopher Basketball teams spent time teaching children from the Phillips and Central neighborhoods in South Minneapolis the fundamentals of basketball. Also in attendance was Pam Borton, head coach of the women’s basketball team at the University of Minnesota and assistant coaches for the mens team.
